Nearly 2 million people die each year from TB. However, real progress has been made over the last decade in implementing DOTS, an effective intervention against TB. This Millennium Project Task Force Report describes the features of DOTS and offers a guide to implementing the system and achieving a universal standard of care based on proper diagnosis, treatment and reporting.
